This Walnut cabriole leg table polished
up beautifully.

This is a good example to show how it
is perfectly normal to use either pine or another
less expensive wood for the leaves.
They are edged in Walnut.

This is such an unusual table.
It is all oak, it is a wind-out table, but
the clever bit is the way the leaf
"lives" underneath and you don't even have to
touch the leaf when you open and shut it.




 

The table has obviously spent most of
its life in a closed position, as the top is a
beautiful bleached colour and the leaf is
a lot darker.
Which just adds to the character of it.
